Hello and thanks for taking the time to read our February Update. We hope that you are as well as you can possibly be, given the difficult circumstances in which we are all operating.

One of the projects we worked on in January was the launch of our MD, David’s brand new podcast. David is an Oldham Athletic football fan and spent a number of years working for the Club in various capacities, including Stadium Announcer and Head of Partnerships. Over his time at the Club he built a great contacts book of former players, manager, staff and indeed owners and decided to pull together a podcast where each week he talks to a guest about their time at the club, lifting the lid on things that take place behind the scenes. The podcast launched on January 21st with Club legend Andy Ritchie, and in just over 2 weeks the podcast within 2 episodes has amassed over 1,000 views and listens.

The Chaddy Enders comes out every Thursday at 8am and is available through the following channels should you wish to have a listen or watch. We have worked to secure 3 fantastic sponsors for the podcast and we’d like to thank AC Tyres, Eden Creative UK and NFL Weekends for their support.

Also in January David achieved a piece of personal development by completing an Open University online course entitle The Business of Football. This comes with a certificate of completion and David was delighted to have undertaken the course to add to his football operational knowledge.

January also saw us contribute to a blog, Outside The 92. This blog concentrates on the world of non-league football and we wrote a piece on sponsorship and Covid-19 and the impact on clubs. You can read this article here Club sponsorship and COVID-19 (wordpress.com)
