Firstly, we are truly delighted to welcome our first National Governing Body, as we begin our contract with British Weightlifting. This is something that we are all very excited to be working on and we’ve already shared some great ideas about how to generate some fantastic partnerships for the Leeds based organisation! There’s something great about a sport that needs strength and power being located in the North of England, an actual northern powerhouse! This agreement was driven by our Head of Projects, Dean Kent, who in his spare time does a lot of lifting and could probably bench press the rest of the 2811 team.
In the last month we have started working with SkyBet League Two club Oldham Athletic. This is being headed up by our MD, and lifelong Oldham supporter, David. The contract is to provide commercial support and help to drive sponsorship revenue into the Club to support new owner Abdallah Lemsagem. Also, David was heavily involved in the renewal of the Main Stand sponsor at Oldham, George Hill Timber Ltd. The story can be found here; https://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/2018/august/30082018-george-hill/
One of the deals we have brokered is a partnership between Manchester Storm Ice Hockey and Mid Communications, focussing on their O2 Store in Sale, we believe that this two year agreement will not only be great for both parties but there is the potential to drive a lot of fun engagements through this, not least through the us of VR technology.
We have welcomed another new client to #Team2811 and that is Belle Vue Aces Speedway team. Based at the newly built National Speedway Stadium in Manchester Belle Vue are probably the most famous name in world speedway. We will be working alongside the Aces to look to bring more sponsors and partners on board as they begin to look ahead to next season. For those that don’t know much about speedway, definitely take a look at the website and get yourself down to a meeting www.bellevueaces.co
Congratulations to Michael Beardmore our fantastic journalist, over the last couple of weeks he has featured heavily on the BBC Sport website covering live football updates whilst also venturing into cricket coverage. Michael is available for all aspects of written work through 2811 Sport Media. Also on the media side of the business, our football consultant, Lee Croft has been offering analysis and co-commentary through Radio Manchester and has some bookings lined up for a number of outlets over the coming month.
There are a number of exciting projects that we are currently working on that as soon as we can launch we will be shouting very loudly about, these will hopefully feature in next month’s blog!
In the meantime, we have launched our business presentation to showcase how we can work with your business to find you the perfect sports sponsorship package to best suit your needs. To get your copy please email firstname.lastname@example.org
I’d like to end by wishing all of our sporting clients all the very best for the next month, particularly Nicola White, Nicola has had a horrible 2018 so far with injury meaning she’s had to miss the Commonwealth Games and the Hockey World Cup, indeed she has been out for approaching 6 months now with a serious concussion injury. However we are pleased to say that she is improving all the time and we look forward to seeing Nicola back where she belongs, in an England shirt on a pitch very soon.
